Mr. Nguyen Viet Hong, General Director of Vina CHG, was honored with the Top 100 typical businessmen of Ho Chi Minh City in 2020 after a thorough review and selection by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA).
The 16th Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day was observed on October 7 by the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA) (2004-2020). HUBA also released the vote results for the City’s 100 typical enterprises and 100 entrepreneurs in 2020 during the ceremony.
Receiving the distinction of Top 100 Typical Entrepreneurs of Ho Chi Minh City 2020, according to Mr. Nguyen Viet Hong, is a tremendous achievement for Vina CHG’s leadership team and staff, especially in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Mr. Hong, the Covid-19 epidemic has had a huge influence on the business community, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City and the rest of the country, although not the entire world.
“While many firms were badly impacted to the point of bankruptcy, shutdown, or personnel reductions, Vina CHG stood firm, maintained operations, and ensured compensation and bonus programs for all company employees.” Mr. Hong stated, “Especially in the past, Vina CHG has not had to cut any workers.”
Vina CHG also organizes initiatives to support the community and join hands with society to confront the challenges of the Covid-19 epidemic during the pandemic.
The poll of 100 typical Ho Chi Minh City entrepreneurs and firms is held yearly by HUBA and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and is carefully selected through the Preliminary Council, the Final Examination Council, and the Board of Directors’ comprehensive review and verification. The City’s Emulation and Reward Committee will consider recommending it to the City’s Emulation Council for consideration by the City People’s Committee.
“Under the leadership of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, HUBA sponsored a poll to award 100 firms and 100 typical businesspeople of the city in order to acknowledge and commemorate the wonderful qualities that businesses and entrepreneurs have produced.” These are firms that have excelled at both epidemic prevention and socioeconomic development while adhering to the State’s policies and regulations, according to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hong, speaking on Vina CHG’s attitude during the present and upcoming general difficult moment, said that he will continue to implement measures to help stabilize business operations, as well as ensure pay, bonuses, and support for the company’s employees.
Furthermore, Mr. Hong stated that the current difficult environment created by the Covid-19 epidemic is a “golden test,” an opportunity for businesses to examine their internal issues, improve advancing and innovating business methods, particularly the 4.0 orientation, and apply digital technology to corporate governance and business development.
“Fire proves to be gold, but it is a difficult challenge. Businesses that can survive and thrive through this moment, I believe, will become stronger and stronger. Opportunities often accompany challenges, and it is critical that we seize them “Mr. Hong offered his thoughts.
